The region

In the heart of this region in western Luxembourg lies Redingen on the Attert, the home of the legendary figure “Kropemann”. The LEADER bureau is located in the “Grand-Rue”, alongside with other service providers in the “Réidener Infostuff”.

The long-standing and fruitful cooperation with over 30 members in the region, including social initiatives, tourism stakeholders and partners from the fields of business, agriculture and forestry, the environment, tourism, youth and culture, is rewarding. Thanks to the support of LEADER, many pioneering projects have been designed and implemented in the region, such as the "Sozialwierkstat Umbrella", the inclusive project "ARNU" for the digitisation of local, historical cultural heritage, the creation of Regionalwert AG, and the project "Mertzig4all" creating public welfare.

The Wëlle Westen LEADER region currently includes nine municipalities: Beckerich, Ell, Grosbous-Wahl, Mertzig, Préizerdaul, Rambrouch, Redingen, Saeul and Useldingen.
