Last Thursday, the „Tourism & Culture for All“ folder was officially presented at the premises of Op der Schock's assisted workshops in Redingen, in the presence of the Minister for Agriculture, Martine Hansen, and the Minister for Culture and Tourism, Eric Thill.

Op der Schock has been committed to helping people with intellectual disabilities for years. These people also want to discover new places, go for walks in nature or attend cultural events - but unfortunately this is not always so easy because their special needs are often not sufficiently taken into account. The LEADER project „Inclusive Tourism“ aimed to have the tourism offers in the Wëlle Westen region tested by a test group consisting of the people concerned themselves and, if necessary, to adapt them with the help of a catalogue of criteria.

The folder consists of 37 elaborated offers, which are divided into six sections: Guided tours, walking trails, sporting activities, catering, overnight accommodation and festivals or cultural events.

The project actively promotes inclusion - by sensitising stakeholders in the tourism sector, tour guides and society in general to the specific needs of people with intellectual disabilities.
