Lapbook “Liewen op der Buerg”
A collection of materials about Simmer Castle and its inhabitants in the 14th century. Using this collection of various materials, Grade 4 students can create their own lapbook about the role of knights and damsels in the Middle Ages, with a specific reference to the town of Simmern.
Play: Strangers in Simmern
A story about social life in a small village. The whole thing is staged as a play that can be performed with a class of up to 20 or more students. The main characters are those already familiar from the story "At the Wash Fountain." Costumes can be borrowed from the LEADER office. Please request at least one week in advance.

The pious Tom – a real Simmer Knight
This short story tells the life story of the knight Thomas de Septfontaines, a historical figure from the early 14th century who lived at Simmer Castle. This true story is based on documented accounts and can be used as an introduction to the Middle Ages in Year 4.
