Building on the positive experience with the umbrella project carried out for the first time between 2019 and 2022, in which 14 mini-projects in the Miselerland region in the cultural sector were supported and benefited from a simplified application and processing procedure, LEADER Miselerland is also implementing an umbrella project between 2024 and 2029.

The aim is to use the entire financial framework that the ministry provides for mini-projects. A LEADER region can now provide a maximum of €80,000 for its umbrella project. In addition, the mini-projects implemented under the umbrella of the umbrella project can be supported with up to €4,000.

Two subject areas are specified for the mini-projects: in addition to mini-projects in the subject area “culture”, mini-projects in the subject area “youth” are also possible.

The new Umbrella project is therefore aimed particularly at voluntary initiatives, cultural associations, artists, municipal commissions, youth centres, school classes, etc.

It is important that the mini-projects do not have a commercial background, but serve either the topic of “culture” or the topic of “youth”.

Applications are submitted as part of the Appel à projets, which are published by the LEADER office. The LEADER office in Miselerland is happy to advise applicants. The GAL LEADER Miselerland decides on the mini-projects in the LEADER meetings using its own evaluation matrix. The sponsor of the mini-project signs a convention with the LEADER office that defines the details of the mini-project.
