With the Umbrella Project: Culture / Leisure The LEADER region ‘Centre West’ supports small, voluntary initiatives that enrich cultural and leisure life in our region.

Whether it’s music, theatre, literature, sport, the outdoors or creative leisure activities – the aim is to give dedicated clubs, organisations and groups the opportunity to bring their ideas to life simple and with minimal red tape to implement.

The mini-projects receiving funding bring people together, create new opportunities for people to meet, and make a valuable contribution to the quality of life in our communities.

What is an umbrella project?
An umbrella project (also known as a mini-project) is a special form of LEADER project.
In this context, the LEADER region defines a thematic area – in this case Culture & Leisure – under which various smaller projects can be carried out.

For the project organisers, this means, above all:
– Less paperwork
– Clear budget guidelines & financial support
- Guidance and support throughout implementation

Which projects are eligible for support?
Project ideas from the areas:
- Culture: Exhibitions, readings, creative workshops, theatre, music, cultural events, etc.
- Leisure time: Play and physical activity projects, nature exploration, intergenerational activities, creative leisure activities, etc.

The project ideas can cover both areas or only one of them.

Conditions:
Financial support per mini-project: max. 4'000 €
Duration: max. 12 months

Who can apply?
Clubs, schools, local authorities, committees, scout groups, youth groups, care homes for the elderly, other charitable organisations, etc.
