The project SlowSouvenirs promotes the development and marketing of high-quality, sustainable souvenirs that authentically reflect the culture and craftsmanship of the region. The aim is to give travellers long-lasting souvenirs that protect the environment and resources and strengthen local producers.
PLANNED ACTIONS:
1. product development
- Development of a two-stage product line:
o Basic Line: Permanently available classics (postcards, fabric bags, etc.)
o Creative Line: limited, seasonal or themed editions - Establishment of an interdisciplinary working group / jury
- Involvement of local players: artists, producers, social initiatives
2. distribution & logistics
- Sale via tourist information centres, farm shops, museums, accommodation
- Development of an online shop (e.g. via Regiondo)
- Testing of regional vending machine solutions
- Sustainable handling of perishable products
3. marketing & branding
- Development of a branding and storytelling concept
- Cooperation with external agency
- Standardised packaging design or label
4. networking & sustainability
- Development of long-term production and distribution networks
- Integration of existing projects such as "Histoschool" or "Slow Trips"
- Participation programmes and souvenir products for inclusive groups

- Creating the structural basis for a sustainable souvenir strategy in Guttland
- Strengthen regional identity and enable supra-regional representation
GOALS:
- Anchoring the idea of slow in regional tourism in a holistic way, including in the areas of products, souvenirs and commemorative culture
- Linking existing Slow offers (e.g. Slow Trips) with suitable souvenirs
- Strengthening local producers through joint product development and new distribution channels
- Making everyday culture & cultural heritage visible, strengthening the region's image
- Increasing added value for tourists through souvenir offers in tourist information centres, museums, etc.
- Promoting customer loyalty with emotionally appealing, long-lasting souvenirs
- Sustainability through local production and transparent supply chains
- Counter-model to mass production, with high-quality, emotional products
- Development of at least 5 souvenir products
- Availability at at least 4 points of sale
- Organisation of at least 5 networking events
- Definition of clear quality criteria (regionality, sustainability, cultural reference)
