Regional products play an important role in a region where tourism traditionally and currently plays a major role, which is also a Nature & Geopark Region and has been included in the global network of UNESCO Global Geoparcs since 2022. The association "Mëllerdaller Producers", which was founded in 2011, has set itself the goal of increasing the visibility of regional products and raising awareness of the issue. It currently brings together around 25 producers from the region.
The LEADER project focuses on three areas of work:
- Master plan: the development of a future strategy for the association with missions and visions. This also includes, for example, the question of expanding the association to include members from the non-food sector.
- Competencies & Transition & Know-how: knowledge of new trends and methods, the challenge of transition of small businesses and looking beyond one's own business and regional boundaries are part of this work package.
- Raising awareness & marketing: developing a new corporate design and a social media strategy are steps to remain visible and sustainable in the long term. Creating a culinary identity for the region, in which the connection between the product and the landscape is made even clearer, and raising awareness of regional products are some of the numerous ideas.
