A central creative hub is to be established in the Éislek region, where recyclable materials will be collected, sorted and repurposed as part of art workshops. This „MateriaTéik“ will serve as a materials store, workshop and educational venue all in one, and will be open to teachers, educational staff and young people. The workshops will be led by an artist, who will also be responsible for setting up the centre, compiling a catalogue of materials and developing accompanying educational resources. The aim is to foster creative skills and build an understanding of how apparent waste can be turned into a resource. The project is aimed at schools, youth centres, senior citizens’ clubs and other social organisations. Through close collaboration with local authorities, educational institutions and industry partners, the project aims to contribute to environmental education and the circular economy in the region.
