The aim of LinGoLux Moselle is to increase the language skills of the people in the Miselerland and thus improve mutual understanding between the different communities in the region. Building on the existing LinGoLux model in the Müllerthal region, a digital platform is to be created for the Miselerland that includes four quizzes in French, Luxembourgish, English and German.
These digital quizzes will be available free of charge for smartphones, tablets and computers. They combine the two pillars of successful integration: learning a language and cultural inclusion. The quiz asks questions about grammar, conjugation and vocabulary - and allows you to discover the culture, geography, history and nature in the Miselerland.
While LinGoLux in Müllerthal is based on language level A2, LinGoLux in Miselerland is based on language level B1. The quiz is also intended to be used in the language courses of MEC asbl.
During the one-year duration of the LEADER project, four meetings will be held at which LinGoLux participants will be able to meet physically and communicate with each other in the newly learned language. These meetings, modeled on the Cafés des langues, will preferably take place in cafés or at local producers' premises, so that participants' knowledge of the region's culinary products can also be increased. The "cafés" will be led by linguists and will take place in the languages of the future platform - French, German, Luxembourgish or English.
