The LEADER project KlimBera promotes dialogue between Climate Pact advisors in order to develop specific projects in the area of climate protection and the energy transition at regional level.
The establishment of the regional energy cooperative was a successful milestone.
KlimBera reloaded continues this dynamic and creates new innovations in the areas of sustainable mobility, circular economy and energy efficiency.
The following goals are to be achieved with the realisation of the project:
- Formalization and permanent bundling as well as networking of regional climate experts
- Development of new ideas in the areas of climate protection, climate change adaptation and renewable energies with concrete regional implementation potential
- Raising awareness among municipal decision-makersand citizens</em
- Knowledge transfer within the region – especially from practical experience
- Best-practice networking within the region, but also across regional borders and interdisciplinary, e.g., through cooperation with the Housing and Nature Pact
The following measures are planned to achieve these goals:
- Platform – Climate Advisors: Meeting of the regional climate team (if necessary with municipal officials)
- Interdisciplinary meeting with other Pact advisors
- Excursion once a year within Luxembourg to best practice examples in the field of climate protection and climate change adaptation.
- Implementation of concrete projects, including:
– Preparation of a regional energy balance
– Development of a regional concept for climate change adaptation
– Development of a regional communication concept
– Analysis of wind energy potential at regional level
– Development of a regional model for the Climate Pact
– Concrete project ideas for practical implementation on site
