The project Geschichte vum Duerf collected personal life stories from the LEADER region of Zentrum Westen and made this intangible cultural heritage accessible to the public through artistic formats. By combining literature, music, illustration and theatre, regional knowledge was preserved and communicated across generations

IMPLEMENTED ACTIONS:

• Creation and publication of the book „Tranches de Vie. Portraits of the villageois“
• Production of an audio book „AUS DEM DUERF - Liewensgeschichten“ (Luxembourgish)
• Design of illustrations based on portraits of contemporary witnesses
• Public presentation event with readings, music and theatre
• Recording and processing interviews with contemporary witnesses
• Collaboration with artists, institutions and regional partners

GOALS ACHIEVED:

• Preservation and communication of regional knowledge and life stories
• Visualisation of the region's intangible cultural heritage
• Promoting dialogue between generations
• Development of multilingual and artistic formats (book, audio, illustration)
• Strengthening regional cooperation between cultural and educational partners
