Due to climate and social challenges, humanity must adopt new, more sustainable habits. In addition, the canton of Redingen currently has a migration rate of 25.3 % and is therefore at an important point where the introduction of inclusive, ecological initiatives is necessary.
Aims of the project:
- Boost citizen participation by creating spaces for exchange and reflection through interactive activities such as the theatre forum. The aim is to sensitise citizens to local ecological challenges.
- Stimulate the local ecological transition through concrete and accessible sustainability practices linked to the resource management of energy autonomy.
- Strengthen shared governance by having citizens and experts work together to develop solutions that meet their specific needs.
- Inclusion of groups that are still underrepresented by integrating people with a migration background into discussions on the topics of sustainability and eco-citizenship.
Planned measures:
- Theatre forum workshops: The aim is to encourage citizens to express their thoughts on the current crises through the art of theatre.
- Citizens' forums with experts: external experts share their knowledge and exchange ideas with citizens on topics relating to the ecological transition. Various topics are covered here, such as renewable energy, sustainable mobility, permaculture and other issues that will arise in these forums.
- A stronger communication strategy: The aim is to reach a wider audience and increase awareness of the project. Campaigns are shared across several channels and specific online formats are developed.
