The project Echanges FR-BE-LU – European values is a preparatory project for transnational cooperation („Préparation à la coopération“) between six LEADER regions from Luxembourg, Belgium and France. Through mutual visits and exchange programmes, the regions aim to learn from one another, identify common challenges and issues, and lay the foundations for future transnational projects.

PLANNED MEASURES:

• Organisation of exchange meetings between the six participating LEADER regions
• Organisation of study trips and reciprocal visits to Luxembourg, Belgium and France
• Discussions on shared topics such as agriculture, sustainable tourism, youth, inclusion, the environment and climate change, mobility, cultural heritage, culture, civic participation and democracy
• Exchange of knowledge and experience between LEADER staff, political representatives and other regional stakeholders
• Learning about projects, working methods and best practices in the partner regions
• Organising initiatives to promote European values and European exchange
• Identifying common themes and ideas for future transnational cooperation

GOALS:

• Establishing new international contacts and partnerships
• Strengthening cross-border cooperation between LEADER regions
• Gaining new knowledge, experience and inspiration
• Learning about LEADER initiatives in other European countries
• A better understanding of the specific characteristics, strengths and challenges of each region
• Mutual exchange of knowledge and best practice
• Development of ideas and a framework for a future joint transnational project
