Exchange across borders

The main elements of this LEADER project are strengthening the professional exchange between the actors and building new networking structures that are adapted to the needs of the region. Planned exchange formats are specialist conferences, "NoperTrips", specialist working groups and other formats (events, festivals, think tanks).

Target groups are young people and youth centres in the border region, teachers from schools, actors from the environmental protection sector, actors from the social sector, municipalities, municipal syndicates and special purpose associations, ...

By strengthening cross-border cooperation and thematic networking of experts/actors, the cooperating LEADER regions hope to generate new project ideas and initiatives as well as to build up an “ideas pool”. This new project thus supports the philosophy of the cross-border development strategy of LEADER Moselfranken & LEADER Miselerland in the period 2023-2029.

With a project duration of 4 years, the partners assume an estimated budget of €240,900.

Half of the budget is allocated to project coordination with a part-time position at the LEADER Bureau Miselerland (Grevenmacher), including rental and travel costs. The other half of the budget is available for material costs, such as bus hire, hall hire, catering for participants, guest speakers, interpreters, public relations work, campaigns and events.

If the funding is distributed equally, the three LEADER regions will each receive a financial contribution of €80,300.
