What is life like along the White Ernz? What objects and memories do people associate with the river?
As part of the first call for mini-projects in the Mëllerdall LEADER region, the Ernztal municipality submitted a special idea on the initiative of Mayor Bob Bintz: a pop-up exhibition about life on and with the White Ernz. The aim was to create a participatory exhibition with a limited budget and space, in which citizens and stakeholders from the municipalities of Reisdorf, Ernztal, Fels, Heffingen, Fischbach and Junglinster contribute memorabilia, artefacts and personal stories that connect them to the White Ernz.
The vernissage took place on 24 October in the community centre in Medernach. Around 60 guests - including numerous lenders and representatives of the partner communities - came to see this special exhibition.
Behind the curtain, a fascinating collection of objects and stories awaited them, which were creatively staged. Around 25 lenders provided exhibits and stories on topics such as crafts and industrial culture, nature, the dramatic flood events and everyday life in the villages. The video sequences in which contemporary witnesses share their personal memories are a particular highlight.
The exhibition can be viewed in the town hall in Medernach until 14 November 2025.

The exhibition will subsequently be shown in other communities along the Weiße Ernz.
