At its autumn meeting in Altrier, the Local Action Group of the Mëllerdall region formally welcomed its new president. Charel Heim, a 27-year-old lawyer, takes over the presidency from Luc Birgen, who was recently replaced on the Echternach municipal council. The town of Echternach is the „chef de file“ of the LEADER group and therefore automatically provides the president.
Charel Heim is taking on a new role in the service of rural development. The members of the LEADER group and the team at the LEADER office wish him a successful start and every success in his new position. They are looking forward to a constructive co-operation and to many joint projects with which they can sustainably advance the Mëllerdall region.
Also new to the team: 33-year-old Louisa Schmitz, who is now supporting her colleagues in the LEADER office in the Mëllerdall region as a technical assistant. She shares the assistant position with Marie Kring.
The Board also gave the green light for three new LEADER projects at the meeting:
- „D'Kierch am Duerf“, an interregional project of the five Luxembourg LEADER regions
- „Mëllerdall mobility concept - intelligently managing visitor flows“ of the Mullerthal Region - Luxembourg's Little Switzerland tourism association
- Ju&Me Europe, a transnational youth project of the LEADER region Mëllerdall.
