New chapter for the Musée Michel Lucius: association founded

On 18 May 2026, a new association was officially founded at the Musée Michel Lucius in Reimberg to manage the Geology Museum. Several interested parties from the municipality of Préizerdaul came together to help shape the future of the museum. The foundation coincides with the 150th anniversary of Michel Lucius' birth. The aim of the association is to revitalise the museum and develop it further as a cultural meeting place in the region.

Jos Bormann, who has looked after the museum on a voluntary basis for many years, was particularly pleased with the level of commitment shown. The LEADER project „Geschichteland: Muséeën am Wëlle Westen“ has given new impetus to the museum’s development, meaning that Jos Bormann will now receive active support from several interested parties. Céline Lanners gave a brief overview of the progress made so far, further planned initiatives and how the newly founded association of the Musée Michel Lucius could get involved in the project in future.

Mayor Marc Gergen also welcomed the initiative. Especially at a time when many associations are having difficulties, it is particularly nice to see people with common interests joining forces and founding a new association, he said.

The founding of the association marks the start of a new chapter for the Musée Michel Lucius in Reimberg - supported by voluntary commitment and regional cooperation.
