Last week, the project organiser ORT Guttland hosted a ‘Meet & Greet’ event in Mersch. Producers interested in helping to develop a high-quality and sustainable range of souvenirs were able to find out about the Slow Souvenirs project, contribute their initial ideas and exchange views with one another.

The Slow Souvenirs project promotes the development and marketing of long-lasting souvenirs that reflect the region’s culture, craftsmanship and unique characteristics. The aim is to offer travellers high-quality mementos that protect the environment and conserve resources, whilst at the same time supporting local producers.

In this way, Slow Souvenirs combines regional value creation with sustainable production and authentic products that are more than just traditional souvenirs: they tell the story of the region, its people and their craftsmanship.
