Last Saturday, the event „Literatur, déi verbënnt“, organised by the Syndikat des Kanton Redingen as part of the mini-project „Bicherboxen“, attracted numerous visitors. Over 100 guests came to the grounds of the old school in Mertzig over the course of the afternoon. There, children and adults were able to choose from a varied programme: exciting readings, a quiz rally, games about book boxes and a workshop in which children designed their own book. There was also the opportunity to socialise with like-minded people over coffee and cake - an ideal setting in which literature brought people together.

This first literary event organised by the Syndikat des Kanton Redingen also marks an important step towards establishing the book boxes as cultural meeting places in the region.
