At the autumn meeting of the Groupe d'Action Locale Miselerland in Ahn, the LEADER delegates decided on new projects, bid farewell to their long-standing president and welcomed a new president.
Right at the beginning Luc Roeder as the new delegate of the Luxembourg Winegrowers' Association. The 39-year-old organic winegrower runs the Maison Viticole Roeder in Rosport as a sideline and is a forester in Manternach in his main job. He takes over from Marc Weyer as President of LEADER Miselerland, as the winegrowers' association is the chef de file of GAL Miselerland, the main delegate of the winegrowers' association is automatically the new LEADER President.
Managing Director Thomas Wallrich paid tribute to the Laudation the immense merits of Marc Weyer, who co-founded the LEADER initiative in Miselerland and has been its only president to date for over 22 years since 2003. The committee members, delegates and LEADER employees thanked the veteran of LEADER Miselerland for his exemplary life's work for the benefit of the region and for his voluntary commitment over such a long and successful period with a gift basket and great applause.
Subsequently Three new LEADER projects which can now go to court:
- Regional project “Expo Via Moselle‘ sponsored by the ASBL Office Régional du Tourisme Moselle luxembourgeoise
- interregional project “ D'Kierch am Duerf “ of the Luxembourg LEADER regions
- transnational project “ Citizens programme cross-border Moselle music festival “ in support of the ASBL moselmusikfestival and the Moselmusikfestival gGmbH and co-financed by the German LEADER regions Moselfranken and Moselle.
The meeting came to a cosy close with a wine of honour, which was kindly donated by the retiring President. Attendees took the opportunity to toast Marc Weyer personally on his „retirement“ and to thank him personally in this way.
