The most recent board meeting of the LEADER group took place in Heffingen on 25 September. Even though such meetings are usually heavily characterised by administrative issues and coordination, the evening offered two special highlights.

A key event was the presentation and tour of the „Den Holzatelier fir déi Kleng“ project, which was initiated by the company Good Wood S.à r.l.s.. The innovative project is aimed specifically at children and impresses with its sustainable approach and creative design options in the field of wood processing.
The project is being promoted and co-financed as part of the "Development Programme".

Another significant moment of the evening was the farewell to long-serving LEADER President Luc Birgen. After 13 years at the helm of LEADER Regioun Mëllerdall, he has decided to hand over the office to the next generation.

We would like to sincerely thank Luc Birgen for his many years of tireless commitment to the LEADER initiative - both in the region and at national level and in dialogue with other European LEADER regions. With his discreet manner, his reliability, his great expertise and his constant commitment, he was a mainstay of the LEADER work. The LEADER team could also count on his support at all times.

The board meeting in Heffingen was therefore not only an opportunity to familiarise ourselves with a promising new village development project, but also to thank a dedicated president for his valuable work and to bid him a fitting farewell.
