On Wednesday, 13 May, the Mierscher Theater will officially launch the LEADER project Kultur inklusiv - an inclusive cultural project that brings together people with and without disabilities as audiences, artists and participants. The aim of the project is to make barrier-free culture in the region visible and accessible to everyone.
The kick-off includes an official welcome, a panel discussion on the topic of „Professionalisation and access to culture for artists with disabilities“ and an artistic and awareness-raising supporting programme. Participants include Minister of Culture Eric Thill, Minister of Labour Marc Spautz and various stakeholders from the fields of culture and inclusion.
Over the course of the festival, which will run until 1 July 2026, various inclusive theatre, dance and cultural events will be on the programme:
- the inclusive stage production „Correspondances“
- the barrier-free guest performance „Grusel“ for children
- Film, reading and workshop formats
- Awareness-raising and exchange initiatives
The project aims to strengthen cooperation between the LEADER partners in the area of inclusion and help to make culture accessible, visible and a matter of course for everyone - both on and off stage.
