Three days full of impressions, encounters and inspiring examples lie behind the LEADER team from Luxembourg. The LEADER regions Hohenlohe-Tauber (Baden-Württemberg) and Region an der Romantischen Straße (Bavaria) together with the German Networking Centre for Rural Areas (DVS) had invited to the international excursion. The LEADER managers from the Éislek, Mëllerdall, Miselerland, Wëlle Westen and Zentrum Westen regions and a representative of the Ministry of Agriculture travelled to Franconia together.

Day one was all about regional cycles: beer is brewed at Derrhof Igersheim according to the motto "From the field to the bottle", old wine culture is being revitalised collectively at Bürgerweinberg Igersheim and everything revolves around regional grain at Taubermühle Markelsheim. There is also a modern guest service centre for cyclists in Tauberzell and a honey extraction line run by a passionate beekeeper.

The second day showed how meeting places enrich village life: from the newly designed inner courtyard of St. Josefspflege to the cosy Café Gsälzbär and the Böhm Ciderwerkstatt with fruit specialities. The Colmberg castle adventure playground for little knights and the moving exhibition on Jewish life in Colmberg were also impressive. In Binzwangen, the guests visited a charming pilgrims' and cyclists' hostel in a historic half-timbered building.

The third day led into the cultural scene: the KulturKino Feuchtwangen showed how an old film theatre can become a meeting place, and the Kreuzgang-Spiele created a special stage for children's and youth theatre in the Nixelgarten. Of course, there was also plenty to enjoy this time - with freshly squeezed juice in the fruit press of the Feuchtwangen Fruit and Horticultural Association. The day was rounded off with a visit to the new event café in the old school building in Vorderbreitenthann.

What the guests encountered everywhere: people with ideas who are committed to preserving traditions, daring to try new things and thus strengthening their region.
