In the Kinneksbond there is now also a Kinneksgaart!

In cooperation with the LEADER Center West and as part of citizen participation in Mamer, a community garden has been created, which has now been officially inaugurated.

Mayor Luc Feller, aldermen Roger Negri, Ed Buchette and Francine Closener officially inaugurated the square on July 1, 2024, in the presence of representatives of the member municipalities and associations of the LEADER Centre West, as well as the municipal council members and those who manage the garden.

Mayor Luc Feller was delighted with how beautifully the garden has developed and the plants that are already thriving and blooming here. He also stressed that citizen participation in the municipality of Mamer will become even more important in the coming months with the "jeparticipe" project. This project was unanimously approved by the municipal council and will be accessible to all residents aged 12 and over.

The community garden was first developed on paper and in workshops under the leadership of the Commission for Energy Transition, Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development and then put into practice. Thanks to the committed cooperation of the citizens, the garden became a sustainable meeting place for the community.

The President of the LEADER Centre West, Christiane Eicher-Karier, was delighted that the cooperation with the municipality of Mamer had made it possible to create such a beautiful meeting place for the citizens.
