LEADER National
Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Viticulture
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Viticulture functions as the managing authority for LEADER in Luxembourg. The managing authority plays a central role in the LEADER initiative and ensures, among other things, that EU requirements and directives are correctly implemented.
The ministry fulfills the following tasks:
- Coordination of the LEADER initiative,
- Support for local action groups (LAGs),
- Coordination with other ministries,
- Approval of projects,
- Audit of the use of funds,
- Exchange with the European Commission,
- Evaluation of the LEADER initiative.
